The Michigan Advanced Biofuels Coalition (MiABC) and Michigan Soybean Association (MSA) partnered with W2 Fuel to host Michigan state legislators and staff at W2 Fuel’s facility in Adrian, Michigan. The event provided industry experts with an opportunity to inform legislators and staff of the environmental, health, and economic benefits of biodiesel produced in Michigan. Discussions with legislators included an overview of the biomass-based diesel fuel industry in the United States, highlights of W2 Fuel and Evergreen Grease’s unique operations, and a deep dive into the potential health, economic, and environmental benefits of a biodiesel incentive from MiABC and MSA. Attendees also participated in a tour of W2 Fuel’s facility and got an up-close look at Evergreen Grease’s B100-powered used cooking oil collection vehicles.
